The Fiction and the Real – The Cinematheque Connection

The British Film Institute runs an excellent journal that provides a detailed explanation of the relationship between the London Nautical School, The British Film Institute and the Cinémathèque Française in Paris. The Film Club uses a programme that has been developed by the Cinémathèque as its basis and is following a series of activities and viewing a range of clips that assist the boys to explore the relationship between the real and the fictional in film.

Each session the boys are set a new ‘challenge’ and set about planning, filming and editing their solution to the challenge. These pages will contain examples of these challenges and solutions. Feel free to comment!
